Welcome, families of Mayer Lutheran Partner Schools!

Starting in Fall 2026, Encore Ensembles will partner with Mayer Lutheran High School to provide band instruction to the following partner elementary schools:

• Christ Community Lutheran School - Watertown

• Emmanuel Lutheran School - Hamburg

• First Lutheran School - Glencoe

• St. John's Lutheran School- Chaska

• St. John's Lutheran School - Norwood Young America

• Trinity Lutheran School - Waconia

• Zion Lutheran School - Cologne

• Zion Lutheran School - Mayer

• Redeemer Lutheran School - Wayzata

Encore Ensembles is a tuition based program. Mayer Lutheran High School has generously offered to pay the full costs of band classes and lessons for the next 2 school years!

Starting in Fall 2026, families at the above partner schools will receive band at no cost to parents and guardians.

NOTE: families are expected to provide the band instrument and supplies.

What fees can I expect?

The band tuition of $585 per student per year will be fully covered by Mayer Lutheran High School.

There is a withdrawal processing fee of $50 if your student needs to withdraw from the program before the end of the school year. Families are responsible for withdrawal processing fees. Mayer Lutheran partner schools will also be invited to participate in Encore Ensembles’ Band Festival and Honor Band, which have small fees of $25-35.

Who will our band director be?

We are in the process of searching for the ideal lesson teachers for your school. We will let your school know when we have more information.

What day will band be at my school? What will the schedule look like?

Once we get teachers in place, we will work directly with your school to set up lesson and rehearsal times. Lessons will take place at your school.

The original instrument we chose isn’t a good fit. Can my child switch instruments?

We recommend at least 8 weeks of lessons on their first choice instrument before making a switch. If the instrument your child originally selected is not a great fit, that is no problem! Please talk to your band director to discuss changing instruments. Many music stores with rent-to-own programs offer instrument switches.
