Legacy Community Wind Ensemble
A family band open to families and students with at least 2 years of band experience in Northfield, Minnesota.
No matter if you play regularly, or you haven’t touched your band instrument in 20 years, there is a place for you in the Legacy Community Wind Ensemble!
This family band is open to students, as well as ALL family members with band experience. Parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents…we welcome one and all!
Though we would love your family to participate in every concert cycle, we understand family schedules can get busy. We offer the flexibility to choose the concert cycles that work best for your family.
3 seasonal concert cycles (all dates will be 6:30 - 8:00 pm):
October: 1, 8, 22, concert on the 29th (No rehearsal on the 15th due to MEA break)
January: 7, 14, 21, concert on the 28th
April: 1, 8, 15, concert on the 22nd
Location: Rehearsals will take place at Emmaus Church in Northfield - 712 Linden Street S, Northfield, MN 55057
Performance Location: At this time, the performance location will also be at Emmaus Church.
Cost: $150 per family per concert cycle, no matter how many family members participate! This cost goes towards the operating expenses of the band.

What age does my student have to be to participate in the Legacy Wind Ensemble?
Due to the level of the music we perform, we recommend your student has at least 2 years of band experience before participating in the Legacy Wind Ensemble.
Is there a limit to how many family members can participate?
Nope! Parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins…everyone is invited!
Is there a way to try out the band before committing?
Yes - families are welcome to attend one rehearsal free of charge before committing to the ensemble.
