Audition Process

Students will submit a video audition via the form below. The audition requirements include 2 major scales, and a short etude. Percussion will be expected to play major scales on mallets, a snare drum etude, and a mallet etude. Music for the auditions is linked below.

Tips for a quality audition:

• Clearly state your name, instrument, grade, and school at the beginning of each video.

• Find a well-lit, quiet place to video record your audition.  Position your camera so that your face and upper body are shown (to watch embouchure and technique).

• Limit your file size to 2 GB.  You may have to lower the quality of your recording to reach the size.

• Submissions can be made in multiple video uploads, and must be submitted upon registration.
