Honor Band

This event is for students ready for a musical challenge.

Participation in Honor Band is open by nomination from your band director.

Our first Honor Band event since 2019!

Honor Band is open to students by nomination from your band director. Nominations will go out late February. Cost is $25 for the day.

Upon registration, students will receive their music ahead of time to practice in preparation for the Honor Band day. This year our guest conductor is Ms. Elizabeth Hertzfeld, band director at New Prague Middle School.

Honor Band is Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Concordia Academy in Roseville.

Our approximate schedule for the day:

8:30 am - Check in begins

9:00 am - 12:00 pm - Rehearsals - we will have intermittent breaks throughout the morning.

12:00 - 12:30 pm - Lunch

12:30 pm - 3:00 pm - Rehearsals

3:30 - Dress Rehearsal

4:00 pm - Break for Dinner

7:00 pm - Concert

  • Honor Band Registration - 2023

    Honor Band will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Concordia Academy in Roseville

  • Schedule

    Check in will begin at 8:30, with rehearsals beginning at 9:00. Your child will receive their folder ahead of time to practice the music at home prior to the Honor Band day. We will rehearse all day and there will be a concert that evening at 7 pm. Our guest conductor is Elizabeth Hertzfeld, director of bands at New Prague Middle School

  • Materials Needed

    Students will need to bring their instrument, lesson book, a water bottle, and a cold lunch. Please make sure your materials are labeled with your student's name. Percussionists, please bring your sticks and mallets as well as your percussion kits.

  • Concert Attire

    As this is a formal performance, for this event we ask that students wear white tops, black bottoms, and black shoes.
